With the UK deciding to leave the EU, one area of law that will see significant change is that of European Intellectual Property Rights, and in particular EU Trade Marks.
The status of protection for those holding EU trade Marks where they only trade in the UK is currently in question, as is the and is certainly something that will need to be carefully considered upon the UK’s exit from Europe. It is unlikely that this is going to be addressed imminently but will be something to bear in mind during the exit process – so watch this space!
